Objective

On completionof this course, the student will have the detailed theoretical knowledge of theaircraft's applicable systems, their operation, maintenance and troubleshootingto Aircraft Maintenance Manual level:

  • For electrical,airframe, power plant, avionic systems and applicable components
  • IFE: onlycommon interface between aircraft and the different IFE systems
  • Equipment,interior and applicable components
  • Relevant inservice problems, bulletins and instructions
  • Use of thetechnical manuals as approved data and procedures
  • Knowledgeof relevant inspections and limitations applicable to human and environmentalfactors

and thestudent will be able to:

  • Operate allthe aircraft systems in all modes and functions with respect to safety rulesand other precautions
  • Service andrepair all the aircraft systems in accordance with the maintenance procedures
  • Troubleshootand isolate failures to specific LRU
  • Locate andreplace major components and LRUs
  • Perform system, engine,component and functional check as specified in maintenance manual

Prerequisites

The students attending the course should have the following prerequisites:

  • AML license or basic training for Part 66 B1 and B2

Note:

  • Since part of the practical training is done during the theoretical training course, the theoretical elements for each practical element shall be completed first.

Examination
Closed book, multiple-choice with pass mark 75% per exam will be used for the theoretical training. Running Assessment will be perfomed during the practical training and will result in "passed" or "not passed"
